Take a moment to get to know D.M. Atwood! 

          D.M. Atwood (Donna) is an American entrepreneur, filmmaker, blogger, ET contactee and founder of ALIEN EXPERIENCERS NETWORK (AEN). As a non-fiction writer and filmmaker, Donna focuses on the topics of alien and paranormal contact, panpsychism, psionics, transpersonal psychology, our future in space, spirituality and integration. In other words, she delves into the subjects of an intelligent universe, extraterrestrial contact, the future of our planet and its inhabitants, paranormal encounters and the spiritual and personal growth (ascension) which results from these high-strangeness events.
          As a science fiction author, Donna uses character-driven stories as a way to weave the trials and tribulations of personal growth into a tapestry of forward-looking topics, including genetic manipulation, continuity of species, transhumanism, advanced weapons systems, nanotechnology, time travel, starseeds and soul walk-ins, among others. 
          It is well known that writers often draw upon life-changing moments as the inspiration for their work, and Donna is no different. Her big moment occurred approximately ten years ago when she experienced a fifty-minute encounter with a large, luminous, plasma-filled sphere UAP. This other-worldly meeting led to what is known by Native American Shamans as a spiritual initiation. A few years later, Donna went on to create ALIEN EXPERIENCERS NETWORK. During the organization's early days, she made the decision to use the word "Alien" in her group's name as a way to reach as many people as possible - this, even though she had always viewed extraterrestrials as humankind's extended family. 
          At time the time of her orb encounter, Donna had no idea how much transformation she would subsequently experience. Nor did she understand that soon afterward she would go through a process known as Kundalini, which would allow her to develop psychic gifts - most especially, clairaudience. The sphere, with its brilliant light which shone in the middle of an early spring night, came to Donna during a dark period in her life. She has often said it left its fingerprints on her soul. Even so, little did she know that when it came to dealing with the aftermath of this pivotal moment, her background in psychology would actually work against her.
          Years passed while she sorted through everything. Finally, she realized that her Western view of life - including her education in the behavioral sciences, had represented nothing more than a narrow slice of reality.  While she still contends that the field of psychology is useful, and indeed helpful for many people, without a solid foundation in Eastern esoteric knowledge to draw upon, Donna herself had assumed the "voices in her head" were a symptom of psychosis rather than psychic gifts which had emerged as part of her spiritual awakening. Fortunately, a psychiatrist recognized what she was experiencing was not psychosis and over time, she came to learn the truth about the link between ET contact, psychic phenomena and spiritual awakenings. Once she put the pieces of the puzzle together, Donna used the fear and emotional trauma she endured from her Dark Night of the Soul as the driving force to dedicate her life to educating others about this topic. This is why, when not writing or filming, Donna reaches out to the public via social media with the intention of educating others about the profound implications of living in a dynamic universe - one which is filled with love, energy, wisdom and otherworldly presences who are here to guide Humankind during this time of Ascension.
