I had no inkling when I woke up this morning that today would begin with a bang. As it turned out, I hadn’t even finished my first cup of coffee when my phone buzzed. Nobody calls me this early. Not ever. Once a person becomes part of my inner circle, I make one simple request: please do not call me before the sun clears the horizon, unless of course it’s an emergency. Texting is fine. Calling is not. Begrudgingly, I made my way over to the desk and disconnected my phone from the charger. I saw that it was my boyfriend, Steve. I braced for bad news. At the time, I had no idea that what he was going to tell me would influence today's post. “Hi, honey. What’s going on?” I asked. “What's going on is, your friends are back.” The words practically tumbled out of his mouth. “Oh really? At this point I could barely contain my excitement. "What did they do this time?” Steve went on to inform me that at precisely 3:00 AM, the television in his living room turned on - by itself. Believe me when I tell you that this is not a one-time incident. Recently, over the holidays, the same television turned itself on at 2:00 AM. If that weren’t enough, one of his garage doors opened at around the same time. As God as my witness, neither one of us were playing a trick on the other. All I can say is I warned him. Actually, it was probably a good year and a half ago when I first told Steve that he’d likely start to experience some unusual phenomena, that is, if he hung around me long enough. Lucky for me, he tends to take these things (mostly) in stride – which is good because a couple of months ago, something else caught his attention. This time, it was a small red orb. Approximately the size of a silver dollar, this little guy floated outside his bedroom window before zipping straight in through the glass. The orb paused. It then leisurely floated over the bed and toward the dresser before darting out into the kitchen. Steve never saw where it went after that. I was not present when this incident occurred, but I myself saw a green orb around a year ago after a dear friend of mine passed away. I always knew that alcoholism would cut his life short. It was a terrible loss and to be honest, I was pretty upset for weeks. Whether this green orb was connected in some way to my friend’s passing, I’ll probably never know. On a related topic, my mom recently shared with me a paranormal incident which involved her father. She said that soon after he passed away, his ghost appeared before her. This occurred after she had exited her shower and wrapped herself in a towel. She said that she stood in the middle of her bathroom, stunned. Once he vanished, she began to sob. Eventually, my mom regained her composure and asked him to come back. He never did. To hear her story brought tears to my eyes. I never met my biological grandfather, but my mom adored him. She said that he was organized, intelligent and hard-working. Hmm, sounds a lot like my mom. Now that I think about it, this sounds a lot like me, too...on a really good day. : ) What about you? I love that your boyfriend embraces your experiences. I had a dream that my deceased grandfather visited me in my dreams to let me know I was pregnant with a baby boy. At the time, I had tried unsuccessfully for a couple of years to get pregnant and had even had a failed artificial insemination. I believe his visit was more than just a dream because his words became true.

Hi Yvette! These are amazing stories! The medium you mentioned sounds as though he/she was especially gifted. I once met with a medium. She was quite accurate on many things but was off on one or two small details. Honestly, I think the spiritual realm is every bit as interesting as UFOs. Having said that, I am very respectful that there is much I do not understand about all of this and reach out through daily prayer for guidance and protection. Best wishes! : )

Hi Pat! Thank you for your comments! Yes, he's getting involved. We're planning on meeting with a Rabbi (Kabbalah) to see what he has to say. I may also reach out to the Hopi Native Americans, who seem to view these things as spiritual in nature (they call it a spiritual initiation). Maybe they can shed some light on this issue. Best wishes! -Donna

Wow, Joy, thank you for sharing that! And by the way, I'm sorry for your loss and I don't think your experiences have anything to do with the wine. Sometimes I drink, and strange things happen. Often I do not drink, and strange things still happen. No matter what I do or don't do, things keep happening. I'm researching all of this as much as humanly possible. It's a HUGE topic! Best wishes, Donna

Hi, Donna. I've experienced far too many paranormal phenomena to count, and I did get involved with the occult before I became a Christian. I believe God allowed it then and redeemed it afterward because it left me sensitive to so much that has happened since. God protects me and I no longer fear these things. I'll share one vision. The day before my husband's father Fred died, I saw Fred approaching a bright light. He was dressed up, looked cheerful, and when an arm reached out of the light toward him, he smiled and said, "Well, I'll be. If it isn't Aunty Merl." I told Bill about it right away. I didn't know who Aunty Merl was, but he did, and when his father passed that night, it brought him and his mother great comfort.

Hi Patty! My goodness, I'm totally blown away!!!! That is an incredible story. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sharing this, as it reminds me that I'm not only person on the planet these things have happened to. In fact, many people have come forward over the past few years (a person here and there). There's something comforting about hearing other people's stories and being able to share your own without the fear of ridicule. It really means a lot to me - thank you! Best wishes, Donna

Donna, again, you relate strange experiences I nor anyone I know have experience (the orbs). I'm glad they seem mostly benign and no one is hurt.

Hi Maura, thank you for your comments! I'm wondering, have you ever heard of the Foo Fighters from WWII? These white (larger) orbs that I have seen look exactly the same as the Foo Fighters. In fact, I believe the foo fighters and my orbs are the same thing that the military has recently recently asked its pilots to report, should they encounter them. To be clear, I am not in the military, so I'm not sure why they are zeroed in on me, but I have a couple hypotheses that I will share in a future post. Best wishes, Donna : )

I write paranormal suspense, but I don't believe in it or have ever experienced it. I did have a strange dream the night before my father died. He appeared at the foot of my bed and said, "I'll be sorry." I was sorry he died the next day; I hope it was what he'd meant.
